Многие ожидают, что Мюллер представит свой доклад прямо сегодня... Причем якобы уже известно, что больше никаких обвинений Мюллер не предъявит. Почему? Да черт его знает почему... пятница.

То есть причины-то есть, я о них еще раз написал на днях -- "Завершил ли Мюллер расследование" -- но есть и причины для скептического отношения к этим ожиданиям.

В любом случае, пока мы ждем, что Мюллер представит доклад, небольшое summary этих ожиданий:

It’s been 53 days since Matthew Whitaker sweatily declared that the special counsel investigation was “close to being completed,” 30d since WaPo reported the DOJ was preparing for the Mueller report in “coming days,” and 4w since NYT reported DOJ expected it in “coming weeks.”

В комментариях к твиту напиминают, что бывший адвокат Трампа, Ty Cobb, "would be embarrassed if this [Mueller investigation] is still haunting the White House by Thanksgiving and worse if it’s still haunting him by year end."

О конце какого года говорил Cobb? 2017 года.

И если кто-то забыл и думает, что это преувеличение, то убедитесь.

А чего Трамп вдруг отменил только что объявленные санкции? А вот почему -- слово пресс-секретарю президента:

Что в докладе Мюллера пока неизвестно. Барр говорит, что проинформирует Judiciary Committee о содержании доклада на этих выходных.

Вот, собственно, письмо Барра полностью -- Read Attorney General William Barr’s Letter to Congress on the Mueller Report.

Однако, известно, что больше никаких обвинений Мюллер выдвигать не будет.

Также Барр говорит, что Мюллер ни разу не был overrulled:

In addition to this notification, the Special Counsel regulations require that I provide you with “a description and explanation of instances (if any) in which the Attorney General” or acting Attorney General “concluded that a proposed action by a Special Counsel was so inappropriate or unwarranted under established Departmental practices that it should not be pursued.” 28 C.F.R. § 600.9(a)(3). There were no such instances during the Special Counsel’s investigation.

Что во всем этом мне кажется наиболее странным -- это то, что не было предъявлено обвинений Корси.
