Но у нас ведь не Северная Корея. В связи с этим, хотелось бы понять... То, что Трамп сам составил заявление о своем здоровье, которое они с его доктором выдали за заявление доктора, это мошенничество или нет? И если да, то что, какую ответственность за это мошенничество должен понести Трамп?

Напомню, что это заявление о невероятном здоровье Трампа делалось на фоне спекуляций о здоровье Клинтон. Вопрос здоровья кандидатов в президенты не был каким-то третьестепенным вопросом.

Update: (via rsokolov) Это, оказывается, пародийный Твиттер-аккаунт. Пародия, впрочем, очень по делу.

Who leaked the questions?

В продолжение "Вопросы Мюллера".

Каким образом "вопросы Мюллера" попали к журналистам. Уже более-менее очевидно, что попали они к NYT через команду Трампа.

В прошлой записи я уже приводил информацию от корреспондента Fox News, не буду ее повторять.

Статья в WP. Она, в основном, не на эту тему, но вот что относится к данному вопросу:

In the wake of the testy March 5 meeting, Mueller’s team agreed to provide the president’s lawyers with more specific information about the subjects that prosecutors wished to discuss with the president. With those details in hand, Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow compiled a list of 49 questions that the team believed the president would be asked, according to three of the four people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk publicly.

То есть, как я и писал в прошлой записи, данные вопросы -- это не "вопросы Мюллера" буквально, это вопросы, которые адвокаты Трампа составили на основании обсуждений с командой Мюллера.

Таким образом, команду Мюллера можно, видимо, исключить из числа подозреваемых в утечке, поскольку они, вероятно, вообще этих формулировок не имели.

И еще (via tijd). Уже тоже практически бывший адвокат Трампа, Cobb:

Cobb added he has a "high degree of confidence" the leak didn't originate with the special counsel given the lawyers ongoing discussions with their team and added that most of the discussions have been professional.

"And at the moment you know most of the discussions that we've had with them have been you know quite professional," Cobb said.

While saying he didn't want to speculate where the leak came from, Cobb pointed to some people who may want to undermine a potential presidential interview with Mueller.

"I think it's very difficult to see who if anybody benefits from the leak of that other than people who have been trying to sabotage the possibility of an interview," Cobb said.

Многие удивлялись декабрьскому решению Трампа одобрить поставку Джавелинов Украине. Как мы все помним, люди Трампа добились исключения пункта о поставке оружия Украине из платформы республиканской партии. Так что решение о Джавелинах выглядело достаточно неожиданно.

Те, кто пытались объяснить это видимое противоречие, -- в частности, я -- указывали на то, что в администрации Трампа есть люди с сильно отличной от Трампа позицией в отношении России. И, из-за некомпетентности Трампа, многие решения администрации принимаются в обход президента.

Ukraine, Seeking U.S. Missiles, Halted Cooperation With Mueller Investigation

In the United States, Paul J. Manafort is facing prosecution on charges of money laundering and financial fraud stemming from his decade of work for a pro-Russian political party in Ukraine.

But in Ukraine, where officials are wary of offending President Trump, four meandering cases that involve Mr. Manafort, Mr. Trump’s former campaign chairman, have been effectively frozen by Ukraine’s chief prosecutor.

The cases are just too sensitive for a government deeply reliant on United States financial and military aid, and keenly aware of Mr. Trump’s distaste for the investigation by the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, into possible collusion between Russia and his campaign, some lawmakers say. [...]

Volodymyr Ariev, a member of Parliament who is an ally of President Petro O. Poroshenko, readily acknowledged that the intention in Kiev was to put investigations into Mr. Manafort’s activities “in the long-term box.”

“In every possible way, we will avoid irritating the top American officials,” Mr. Ariev said in an interview. “We shouldn’t spoil relations with the administration.” [...]

In another move seeming to hinder Mr. Mueller’s investigation, Ukrainian law enforcement allowed a potential witness to possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia to leave for Russia, putting him out of reach for questioning.

The special counsel’s office has identified the man, Konstantin V. Kilimnik, Mr. Manafort’s former office manager in Kiev, as tied to a Russian intelligence agency. Mr. Kilimnik was also under investigation in Ukraine over espionage, but no charges were filed before he left the country, sometime after June. During the 2016 campaign, Mr. Kilimnik met twice with Mr. Manafort. In December, a court filing in the United States said Mr. Kilimnik was “currently based in Russia.”
