Устали извиняться

Мне в журнале zlobnyi_karlik встречаются комментарии crown_athlete. Процитирую пару характерных. Этот:

На мой взгляд в стравливании Путин не единственный участник, хотя может и основной, да и на Украине накачка идёт будь здоров, там у многих крыша на почве ненависти поехала на отличненько и похоже что многих в верхушке это устраивает, ибо это отвлечение от своих внутренних проблем, во всех грехах и косяках можно обвинить кацапов и путина, при этом сняв с себя практически всю ответственность. Мутно всё это, какой-то даже не цирк, а кровавое шапито

Мне кажется, это достаточно типичная позиция многих современных россиян, которые не считают себя сторонниками нынешнего российского режима.

Да, Путин не совсем правильно поступил в отношении Украины, но "на данном этапе уровень российской агрессии сильно преувеличен", поэтому украинцам пора бы перестать жаловаться на Россию и сосредоточиться на собственных проблемах, а то у них уже "крыша на почве ненависти поехала".

И ладно бы Россия освободила Крым и захваченную часть Донбасса, покаялась и возместила ущерб. Так нет же, Крым и часть Донбасса как были, так и есть оккупированными. Украинцы должны move on просто потому, что "на данном этапе" Россия не захватывает новые территории.

То есть люди устали извиняться, так извиняться и не начав.

Отмечу отдельно аргумент о взаимной ненависти -- не только Россия виновата, в Украине тоже много ненависти.

Речь, напомню, идет об агрессоре и жертве агрессии. Да, жертва агрессии, возможно, ненавидит агрессора сильнее, чем тот ее. Давайте обсудим этот примечательный факт. Сам же факт агрессии при этом мы из рассмотрения исключаем, чтобы не отвлекал, наверное.

В общем, читаю я подобные комментарии россиян без ненависти, а с нежностью и грустью. Грустно смотреть, во что эти люди превратились.

Текущая версия Белого Дома

Chris Hayes в Твиттере, по-моему, хорошо просуммировал ту версию событий, в которую Белый Дом предлагает нам поверить (на данный момент).

Написано это было позавчера, и с тех пор появилась дополнительная информацию, которую Джуниор, известный своей transparency, скрыл в своей последней версии, -- участие во встрече Ахметшина. Что вполне согласуется с выводом Хэйеса.

So here is what we are currently being asked to believe.

A Putin-aligned Russian oligarch and his son cultivate a personal/professional relationship w/ Trump and his family over several years.

When Trump becomes the nominee, said oligarch uses trusted intermediary to tell Trump Jr there's a Russain gov effort to elect Trump.

And that as part of that effort they have damaging info on Hillary to share. They set up a meeting to collaborate on this project.

Trump's son, his campaign chair and son in law attend a meeting w/ a person called a "Russian government lawyer" to obtain the dirt.

Everyone shows up at the meeting and...the lawyer just talked about adoption and the Magnitsky act! After all that, it's a dud.

And then, and here's the crucial part, NO ONE DOES ANYTHING ELSE. The oligarch and son don't make further contact.

Trump & Co don't use the active line of communication thru Goldstone to say "hey what the hell was that about?" Everyone just drops it!

Both Trump's campaign and the Putin-allioed oligarch never take another single step to further a collaboration they'd both agreed to!

And then, oh by the way, teh Russian government *is actually* engaged in a brazen, sophisticated effort to get Trump elected.

And as that becomes public just 5 weeks later, no one at Trump Tower gets curious. No one reaches back out. No one calls Emin.

No one emails Goldstone about this topic ever again. No one brings it up ever again.

No one ever tells Trump "Aras and Emin said the Russian government wants to try to get you elected, but then we had this weird meeting".

No one ever raises it when they see DNC hacks & Wikileaks. Everyone just forgets about that crazy time, when dad's Russian contacts reached out to join forces with the Russian government to defeat Hillary. That's it, That's the end of the story.

I don't have the words to express how implausible that version of events is, but it's what the WH is currently telling us happened.

But the one put forward by Trumpworld — that the June 7 announcement had nothing to do with the June 7 setup of the meeting, that nothing came of the meeting, and that the meeting was then denied publicly during a months-long furor over Russian hacking — does not seem even close to being the most plausible one.

A less ridiculous theory would be that during the June 9 sit-down, it was agreed that passing hacked documents directly to the Trump campaign would be dumb. Instead, perhaps they agreed to channel them through WikiLeaks, which would frame them as the fruits of left-wing anti-establishment muckraking. This theory might have sounded ridiculous if not for the fact that Trump Jr. has already lied many times about the meeting.

Of course, without more documents — and more efforts to offer clear, detailed answers about what was happening — it’s impossible to say for sure what happened.

But as the old saying says, fool me twice, shame on me. Trump Jr. has already tried to fool us four or five times about this meeting, and there’s absolutely no reason we should trust him. Fox News, tellingly, has in part already moved on to justifying collusion, showing little faith from Trumpworld that the denials of collusion will hold up over the long run. Those of us who aren’t in the tank ought to muster at least the same level of skepticism.

Жаль людей, которые главным образом получают новости от Fox News. И Fox News -- это еще относительно умеренный источник... Да и, глядя на это, и США тоже жаль. Даже если Трамп будет изгнан в ближайшее время, the damage is already done.

Дершовиц, кстати, -- не стыдно ему в этом участвовать.

В общем, посмотрите.

P.S. Какой процент американцев получает информацию из подобных источников (или еще хуже)? Я думаю, минимум, процентов тридцать, наверное.
