You don’t negotiate a compromise with your own Vice President and your son in law. That’s not how this works.

Benjy Sarlin:
A pretty jarring transition from Steve King Purge Week to Will Ann Coulter Veto The President??? Week
Trump proposes amnesty. We voted for Trump and got Jeb!

100 miles of border wall in exchange for amnestying millions of illegals. So if we grant citizenship to a BILLION foreigners, maybe we can finally get a full border wall.

Mistrial - a courtroom trial that has been terminated prior to its normal conclusion.

A federal judge dismissed all charges against Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) Wednesday, following a request from prosecutors — a legal surrender in a high-profile test of the Justice Department's enforcement of public integrity laws.
Prosecutors filed a short motion asking U.S. District Court Judge Jose Linares to "dismiss the superseding indictment'' against Menendez, and the request was granted hours later.
In response to the Justice Department's decision to drop the charges, Menendez said in a statement, "From the very beginning, I never wavered in my innocence and my belief that justice would prevail. I am grateful that the Department of Justice has taken the time to reevaluate its case and come to the appropriate conclusion."

The Justice Department plans to put Sen. Robert Menendez back on trial on corruption charges, following a mistrial last year in which most jurors wanted to acquit the New Jersey Democrat.

The trial in Newark federal court of Menendez and his co-defendant, Salomon Melgen, ended in a hung jury in November. When he came back to the Senate in December, the lawmaker said he doubted prosecutors would continue to pursue the case — but if they did, he added: "Bring it on."

On Friday, public corruption prosecutors from the Justice Department filed notice saying they want a retrial "at the earliest possible date."

Why has Trump gone out of his way to make sure the American people don’t know what he’s discussed with Putin, going so far as PERSONALLY confiscating an interpreter’s notes after one of their meetings? @SenJackReed and I are calling for answers. https://t.co/1Tzkw898lu pic.twitter.com/UjOYYQFi3X

Trump, in his remarks Thursday, spoke extensively about Blagojevich's prosecution and lamented the 14-year sentence he received -- which Trump incorrectly referred to as 18 years -- after he was convicted on 18 felony corruption charges.
"Eighteen years is, I think, really unfair," Trump said, arguing Blagojevich, a Democrat, was convicted "for being stupid and saying things that every other politician, you know that many other politicians say."
"I am seriously thinking about -- not pardoning -- but I am seriously thinking of a curtailment of Blagojevich," Trump said.

Required television watching is last weeks @marthamaccallum interview with the wonderful wife of Rod Blagojevich and the @trish_regan interview with a Jerome Corsi. If that doesn’t tell you something about what has been going on in our Country, nothing will. Very sad!
