В запись про Карла Роува пришел Арбат с вопросом "what about?"

В частности, Арбат просил прокомментировать "полное отсутствие осуждения со стороны левых политиков" бесчинств Антифа в Беркли.

Я ничего не писал об Антифа, и не планирую. По ряду причин. Мне эта тема не кажется важной в данный исторический момент. Мне не кажется правильным помогать российским ботам поддерживать интерес к этой теме. Любому, кто знаком с моим творчеством, должно быть очевидно, как я отношусь к самосуду.

That said, Нэнси Пелоси запостила стейтмент по этому поводу -- "Pelosi Statement Condemning Antifa Violence in Berkeley".

Я не знаю, считает ли Арбат конкретно Пелоси левым политиком, но думаю, что он ее считает квинтэссенцией левого политика. Так что вот этот стейтмент:

San Francisco — Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement denouncing the violent protests carried out this weekend in Berkeley, California:

“Our democracy has no room for inciting violence or endangering the public, no matter the ideology of those who commit such acts. The violent actions of people calling themselves antifa in Berkeley this weekend deserve unequivocal condemnation, and the perpetrators should be arrested and prosecuted.

“In California, as across all of our great nation, we have deep reverence for the Constitutional right to peaceful dissent and free speech. Non-violence is fundamental to that right. Let us use this sad event to reaffirm that we must never fight hate with hate, and to remember the values of peace, openness and justice that represent the best of America.”

Как можете видеть, никаких "many sides" тут не упоминается.

Да нет варианта атаковать, и при Обаме тоже не было. Бэннон верно сказал об этом.

Я не согласен. Думаю, что кроме Бэннона и частично Тиллерсона, в окружении Трампа так мало кто считает. Все понимают цену такой войны, но ещё лучше понимают, что из двух зол выбирают меньшее, а это - война раньше, чем корейские ракеты смогут долетать до вашего дома.
Хоть я и не люблю приводить примеры с Гитлером, но, подумайте, насколько меньше было бы жертв во ВМВ, если бы Германию атаковали ещё в 1937-1938 со всех сторон?
