I asked Sen. Murphy if there’s any hope for the border deal in the Senate.

“No,” he said flat out.

“Republicans have definitively sided with Donald Trump. They've decided they want to keep chaos at the border because it is a political winner for them”

There’s nobody in charge. There’s no ability to follow a plan. We did everything they said and they abandoned it before they even read the bill. So I don’t know. This is admittedly a scary situation...

There is somebody in charge though. Liz Chenye gets it. As does anybody else who is not willfully stupid.

Да, черные времена наползают, в общем-то, очевидно.

План был в том, что никакой сделки не будет, потому что демократы и Байден не согласятся укреплять границу, тогда на них можно будет повесить вину за все на свете, включая недостаток помощи Украине, и с блеском выиграть на выборах в ноябре. Товарищи несколько переели собственной пропаганды.

План провалился, и ныне расчет может быть только на глупость избирателей, которые не заметят потрясающей некомпетентности своих избранников.
