👀 Laura Ingraham says Trump just told her he opposes the Senate immigration deal and wants Mike Johnson to oppose it too, doesn’t think it’s needed to secure the border.

“President Trump is not wrong,” Johnson responds. “He and I have been talking about this pretty frequently.”

From there Johnson says he’s still waiting to see specifics of the Senate package, which isn’t finalized. Clip:

At no point has there been the slightest chance Trump would back this deal (or any other under Biden, and especially McConnell, on any topic). So everyone involved has known they'd have to respond to this the entire time.

Конечно, и Байден это должен был понимать, и переговорщики в Сенате. Но что они могут сделать, если Джонсон просто откажется ставить пакет на голосование?
