Я сегодня весь день был занят, так что не читал сам доклад, только многочисленные цитаты из него.

Насколько я могу судить по цитатам и отзывам, доклад содержит мало принципиально нового. В этом огромная заслуга этой самой мейнстримной прессы, в первую очередь NYT и WaPo, которые за эти два года раскопали огромное количество информации о Трампе -- доклад Мюллера подтверждает все major reports MSM.

Я здесь сделаю отступление и скажу, что мне больно видеть, что трамповской пропаганде удалось убедить некоторых людей не из трампистов, что MSM публиковали какую-то чушь о Russiagate, и окончание расследования Мюллера это ярко продемонстрировало. Теперь к заголовку. Доклад убедительно показывает, как Трамп опять и опять пытался добиться от помощников нарушения закона. Как я уже сказал, о многих из этих эпизодов мы уже знали от СМИ, но одно дело статья в газете, другое -- доклад специального прокурора.

Так же процитирую Джорджа Конвея, мужа Келлиэнн Конвей. Заголовок его сегодняшней колонки говорит сам за себя -- Trump is a cancer on the presidency. Congress should remove him.

Главным образом, потому что республиканцы, которые имеют большинство в Сенате, полностью сдались Трампу. Но есть и другая проблема -- демократы не хотят заниматься импичментом. Они практически полностью игнорировали Russiagate во время выборов прошлого года, концентрируясь, в основном, на healthcare, и отлично выступили. Они думают, что и на президентских выборах все у них получится. И, возможно, они правы.

Вот что сегодня говорит number two демократов в Хаусе:

“Based on what we have seen to date, going forward on impeachment is not worthwhile at this point. Very frankly, there is an election in 18 months and the American people will make a judgement,” House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer told @DanaBashCNN .

This is some shameless shit, if you ask me. Я согласен с этим мнением:

Each time a Dem leader dismisses impeachment w/ some argument like "let the voters decide in 2020," the Constitution gets degraded a little more. Either you believe Trump committed impeachable crimes or you don't. Putting it on the voters isn't only irresponsible, it's cowardly.

In sum, the investigation established multiple links between Trump Campaign officials and individuals tied to the Russian government.
