Вчера Джулиани был у Ингрэм на Fox News, где похвастался, что он "forced Yovanovitch out of the way". Нужно отметить, что даже Ингрэм выглядит озадаченно: Сегодня Джулиани запостил такой твит:
Yovanovitch needed to be removed for many reasons most critical she was denying visas to Ukrainians who wanted to come to US and explain Dem corruption in Ukraine. She was OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE and that’s not the only thing she was doing. She at minimum enabled Ukrainian collusion.
Тут интересно, что республиканский "Report of Evidence in the Democrats' Impeachment Ingquiry in the House of Representatives" содержит следующее:
The impeachment inquiry has uncovered no clear evidence that President Trump directed Ambassador Volker, Ambassador Sondland, and Secretary Perry to work with Mayor Giuliani for the purpose of pressuring Ukraine to investigate his political rival. In fact, the evidence suggests that the White House actively worked to stop potential impropriety. When Mayor Giuliani attempted to obtain a visa for former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin to travel to the U.S. in January 2019, the White House shut down the effort. The State Department had denied Shokin’s visa and Mayor Giuliani apparently appealed to the White House. According to Deputy Assistant Secretary Kent, in settling the matter, White House senior advisor Rob Blair said: “I heard what I need to know to protect the interest of the President.” Shokin did not receive a visa.
То есть республиканцы используют тот факт, что Шокину отказали в визе, как свидетельство невиновности Трампа!

Фирташа уже пять лет пытаются привезти в наручниках.

Austria's justice minister has approved the extradition of Ukrainian tycoon Dmytro Firtash to the United States, where he has been charged as part of an alleged bribery scheme, but his extradition was put on hold as his defense team immediately filed a court motion to reopen the case.
Clemens Jabloner's July 16 approval of the extradition came three weeks after Austria's Supreme Court upheld a decision allowing a request by the United States to extradite Firtash.
However, a Vienna state court judge ruled the extradition could only take place after that court has decided on the new defense motion. Court spokeswoman Christina Salzborn said the defense provided "extremely extensive material." <...>
Shortly after his March 2014 arrest in Vienna, Firtash posted a record bail bond of 125 million euros ($172 million) that was paid by Russian billionaire Vasily Anisimov, a business partner of Arkady Rotenberg, who is a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
However, Firtash was barred from leaving Austria as the extradition cases moved through the courts.

Mr. Firtash and his Vienna lawyers had filed records showing that a key piece of evidence — a document known as “Exhibit A” that was said to lay out the bribery scheme — had been prepared not by Mr. Firtash’s firm, but by the global consultancy McKinsey & Company. But Mr. Firtash’s legal team had been unable to persuade federal prosecutors to withdraw it. McKinsey has denied recommending “bribery or other illegal acts.”
Ms. Toensing and Mr. diGenova, the Giuliani emissaries told him, “are in a position to insist to correct the record and call back Exhibit A as evidence,” Mr. Firtash recalled.
He hired the lawyers, he said, on a four-month contract for a singular task — to arrange a meeting with the attorney general and persuade him to withdraw Exhibit A. <...>
At any rate, Ms. Toensing and Mr. diGenova soon delivered for Mr. Firtash, arranging the meeting with Attorney General Barr. But by the time they met, in mid-August, the ground had shifted: The whistle-blower’s complaint laying out Mr. Trump’s phone call with Mr. Zelensky, and Mr. Giuliani’s activities in Ukraine, had been forwarded to the Justice Department and described in detail to Mr. Barr. What’s more, concerns about intervening in the Firtash case had been raised by some inside the Justice Department, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.
The department declined to comment, but Mr. Firtash said the attorney general ultimately told the lawyers to “go back to Chicago,” where the case had initially been brought, and deal with prosecutors there.
