Навстречу слушаниям

Завтра Мюллер наконец предстанет перед комитетами Конгресса (House Judiciary Committee и House Intelligence Committee).

Я, к сожалению, буду завтра on the road, потом занят до вечера, так что посмотреть не получится, разве что самое начало и потом в машине послушаю пару часов. Но если будет что-то существенное, оно мимо меня не пройдет, конечно.

Мало кто ожидает от этих слушаний каких-то откровений. И я тоже не ожидаю. Я думаю, что если бы Мюллер хотел сказать что-то сверх своего доклада публично, Барра там заклеймить или еще чего, он вполне мог это давно сделать. И, в этом случае, его не нужно было бы вызывать на слушания по повестке.

Но интересно, какие вопросы ему будут задавать, и как он на них отвечать будет. Опять же, республиканские гиганты мысли, Джим Джордан и другие, обещали порвать Мюллера, как свинья фуфайку. Или это не они сами обещали, а другие люди обещали, не помню. Тоже интересно будет глянуть.

Более важно, конечно, что многие имеют очень туманное представление о докладе Мюллера. Это было очевидно по реакции на его короткое выступление, в котором он, по сути, просто повторил основные выводы доклада. Если больше людей узнают о содержании доклада в результате этих слушаний, уже отлично.

Президент тем временем находится в предвкушении и строчит твиты в необычное для себя время, прямо сейчас.

Ирония тут, помимо всего прочего, в том, что Трамп ни на какие вопросы лично отвечать под присягой вообще не стал.

P.S. Кстати:

Does anyone know what Trump is referring to when he calls Aaron Zebley a Never Trumper? Or is the President just making that up? I haven't seen any documented proof of that. Here's how @washingtonpost described the situation: "There is no evidence Zebley is a 'Never Trumper.'"
