Что касается "Американский адвокат украинского генерального прокурора", то NYT запостил update своей статьи (via tijd):

Mr. Giuliani had previously said that Ms. Toensing was representing Mr. Lutsenko, but after this article published, he said that he had been mistaken.

То есть мое вчерашнее предположение, что "Джулиани просто ляпнул что-то не то", оказалось верным. Возможно, конечно, что Джулиани сначала сказал правду, а потом стал врать, но, в данном случае, не думаю -- все-таки, Тоунсинг в качестве адвоката генпрокурора Украины выглядело совсем уж бредово.

Во-вторых, сам Джулиани уже отменил свою поездку в Киев -- Giuliani reverses course, says he's no longer going to Ukraine to press Biden investigation:

I'm not gonna go, because I think I'm walking into a group of people that are enemies of the President, in some cases enemies of the United States and, in one case, an already convicted person who has been found to be involved in assisting the Democrats with the 2016 election.

Черт его, Джулиани, знает, о каких врагах Трампа и США он говорит. Вряд ли имеет особое значение, съездит Джулиани в Киев или нет. Украинское руководство знает, чего от них хочет Трамп. Да и NYT готов, к сожалению, распространять трамповское вранье про Байдена.

The latest prosecutor-general, Viktor Shokin, a close ally of President Petro Poroshenko, has ignored high-level corruption among the new authorities. Talk of Mr Shokin’s fate dominated Mr Biden’s meetings in Kiev this week. Ukrainian activists have been calling for Mr Shokin to be fired, but Mr Poroshenko has refused. An independent prosecutor would deprive him of a powerful political instrument and might expose his associates to investigation.
