Трамп пугает Коми.

Такое впечатление, что дело движется... может и не совсем к развязке, но к чему-то интересному.

Трамп чего угрожает Коми записью разговоров. rsokolov пишет:

Больше всего меня заинтересовало, почему Трамп соврал (на 1:15), о том, кто кого пригласил на обед? "He wanted to have a dinner... The dinner was arranged, I think he asked for the dinner." Т.е. видно что Трамп врет, но не понятно, о чем именно и зачем.

Оказывется, дело вот в чем:

As they ate, the president and Mr. Comey made small talk about the election and the crowd sizes at Mr. Trump’s rallies. The president then turned the conversation to whether Mr. Comey would pledge his loyalty to him.

Mr. Comey declined to make that pledge. Instead, Mr. Comey has recounted to others, he told Mr. Trump that he would always be honest with him, but that he was not “reliable” in the conventional political sense.

By Mr. Comey’s account, his answer to Mr. Trump’s initial question apparently did not satisfy the president, the associates said. Later in the dinner, Mr. Trump again said to Mr. Comey that he needed his loyalty.

Но, в любом случае, было бы хорошо, если бы Трамп опубликовал запись разговора. Как думаете, опубликует?

Кроме того, Трамп еще раз повторил свое вранье про Клеппера, только в несколько усиленной иной форме. Теперь Трамп утверждает, что Клеппер говорит что не только нет свидетельств координации кампании Трампа с Россией (тоже вранье, Клеппер говорил только, что он таких свидетельств не видел), а даже, что никакой координации нет.

А вот что говорит сам Клеппер сегодня (via rednyrg721) -- Clapper: 'I don't know if there was collusion' between Trump and Russia:

I don’t know if there was collusion or not. I don’t know if there was evidence of collusion or not — nor should I have.

It’s not surprising or abnormal that I would not have known about the investigation, or more importantly the content of that investigation.

"I'm moving on."

-- Did president Trump record his conversation with the former FBI director Comey?

-- I assume you are referring to his tweet. And I talked to the president, and the president has nothing further to add on that.

-- Why did he say that? Why did he tweet that? What should we interpret from that?

-- As I've mentioned, the president has nothing further to add.

-- Are there recording devices in the Oval Office or in the residence?

-- As I've said for the third time, there is nothing further to add on that.

-- Do you think it is appropriate to threaten someone like Mr. Comey not to speak?

-- I don't think... that's not a threat, he simply stated a fact, the tweet speaks for itself, I'm moving on.

С момента твита Трампа прошло уже много часов. У Белого Дома было более чем достаточно времени сказать, что, конечно, Трамп не имел в виду, что он тайно записывал разговор с Коми, как вы могли такое подумать!

Вместо этого, сначала Спайсер во время своего брифинга отказывается комментировать существовании записи, а затем это же делает сам Трамп.

Сама по себе, такая тайная запись разговора легальна, вообще?
