The situation is pretty clear. Schiff offered absolutely no new evidence. All the episodes he's mentioned had been carefully (I hope) analyzed by Mueller's investigation. "[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities." Which explicitly means that everything mentioned by Mr. Schiff does not prove that "members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated". Mr. Schiff's contradicts Mr. Mueller directly. Speaking about the "unpatriotic, bad character etc." vitriol, Mr. Schiff's is perfectly entitled to his opinions, and it is absolutely OK for him to hold any opinion on Mr. Trumps character. It is just irrelevant. He wan't asked to resign due to his unfavourable opinion of Great Orange. He was asked to resign because his repeated statements about "plenty of evidence" directly contradict Mr. Mueller's conclusions.

What worries me here is Mr. Schiff's repeated attempts to whip up anti-Russian rhetoric in order to cover up the incompatibility of his claims and results of Mueller's investigation, his repeated allusions that any contacts with "those creatures" somehow constitute a sin (I'm referring to the "Trump Tower in Moscow" part of his allegations). It does worry me because all of us here in America are "Russians", regardless of our ethnic origin. Having had, due to being Jewish, an extensive experience of living under a constant suspicion of being a "hostile alien" in the Soviet Union, I'm not looking forward to living in a similar atmosphere in North America. And I do see Mr. Schiff's statements as an incitement to fear and suspect all "Russians", just as any North American Jew is at least mildly uncomfortable of certain overtones of right-wingers' attacks on Mr. Soros.

Конечно, все им перечисленное выглядит некрасиво. Однако мы хорошо знаем, что политики частенько не светочи этики и морали, а функционалы и оперативники еще хуже. Либо ограничивайте их законодательно либо прекращайте толочь воду в ступе.
И опять таки, Шиф возмущен, что Джуниор не побежал в ФБР, но его совсем не волнует слив Донной Бразил вопросов дебатов, за который она была премирована теплой должнойстью в ЦК демократов. Так ли важно, что она местная?

Я подумала, что для эрэфной пропаганды сейчас был бы козырный ход начать продвигать такую мысль: "Конечно, всем понятно, что Трамп сговорился с Россией и что Путин повлиял на результаты выборов и все произошло, как Путин хотел, потому что у Путина на Трампа влияние. Но! Смотрите какая коррупция в США! Даже специальный прокурор не смог сказать правду, результаты расследования получились такие, как Трамп хотел! А вы говорите, там демократия и свобода слова. Ни хрена, там такие же соломенные самолеты, как у нас. Только мы теперь на них влияем!"
