Не знаю насчет embracing лично Трампа, но "what he stands for" Гиллеспи embraced полностью -- та же отвратительная демагогия и fear mongering. Причем, эта тактика была сознательным выбором Гиллеспи -- в прошлом, говорят, он вел себя иначе.
