This is not a general anti-immigrant rhetoric. This is a specific rhetoric against illegal immigration. There's nothing wrong in pointing out that is expensive and unsafe. If someone wanted to point out that Jewish immigration from SU was expensive and to some extent criminal I won't have a problem in principle but would disagree on facts. If some part of it were illegal I'd say - kick them out.
