О предстоящей победе Зеленского

Что касается заголовка... Мне хотелось бы ошибаться, но, по-моему, никаких других вариантов во втором туре нет.

(Тут я сделаю необходимое отступление. Когда кто-то выражает такую уверенность относительно исхода случайного события (математический термин), я обычно говорю, что что ж ты не продашь Родину, и не поставишь все деньги на этот исход. Я сам своему совету следовать не буду и ничего не поставлю, но 1.2 на Зеленского -- это поразительная раздача дармовых денег. Какие 1.2?!)

Теперь о том, о чем я хочу сказать.

npubop хорошо написал: Трамп, Brexit, Зеленский.

Избрание Зеленского, на мой взгляд, событие того же печального ряда, что и Брекзит и избрание Трампа. Конечно, вес Украины в мире несопоставим с весом Великобритании или, тем более, США, поэтому громким событием в мире эта смена президента не станет. Но оно стоит в том же ряду, что и Трамп с Брекзитом и много других менее заметных безответственных решений избирателей в самых разных странах.

And on this last point. Я хотел написать больше, но ограничусь, пожалуй, главным. Можно винить демагогов, вроде Трампа, можно анализировать ошибки "элит". Но, в конечном итоге, на свободных выборах главную ответственность несут избиратели. И нет у них никаких оправданий.

Когда люди коллективно решают на зло бабушке отморозить себе уши, совершив прыжок в пропасть, вопреки всем увещеваниям, there is not much we can do about it.

Остается только с нежностью и грустью смотреть на этот ебаный пиздец. Спасибо за внимание.

“I think he was bluffing,” Ms. Meadows said with a frown.
Mayor James R. Fouts of Warren said Trump supporters here were especially motivated by Mr. Trump’s promise to overturn or overhaul the North American Free Trade Agreement, which they blame for the loss of American manufacturing jobs to Mexico. All year, Mr. Trump has attacked Ford Motor Company in particular for planning to move all of its small car production to Mexico.
Noting that Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont also criticized free trade agreements when he ran against Mrs. Clinton in the Democratic primary race, Mr. Fouts said that some who normally vote Democrat in Macomb County had initially supported Mr. Sanders and migrated to Mr. Trump only after Mrs. Clinton became the Democratic nominee.
