А Трамп занимается любимым трюком: манипулирует прессой и демократами. Поддержка нелегальной иммиграции это камень привязанный к шее демпартии, и пресса затягивает этот узел все туже и туже. В результате на сцене остаются партия Трампа супротив партии нелегальной иммиграции с вполне предсказуемым исходом.

Несмотря на драконовые меры администрации Трампа, включая разлучение родителей с детьми, число нелегальных пересечений границы в 2018 не понизилось, а повысилось. Это число, однако, находится на исторически низком уровне.



Число нелегальных иммигрантов, находящихся в стране, практически не менялось за последние 10 лет - в том числе благодаря активной депортационной политики администрации Обамы.



Проблема нелегальной иммиграции существует, но не является наиболее важной проблемой. Ее использование для запугивания населения и возбуждения ненависти - лживый демагогический прием.

На совести тех, кто пользуется этим приемом для прихода к власти - гибель 11 людей в питтсбургской синагоге.
