By contrast, here in the US, the president has the ability to pick a friendly public audience that is ready to applaud any of his BS. And that's the media coverage we get. Moreover, he can go for months without being directly challenged on major policy issues. When the media exposes his lies it appears partial and people instinctively don't trust it.
