Я был удивлен, что Никки Хейли отказалась сразу по окончании своей кампании поддержать Трампа.

Сегодня, однако, Хейли сообщила:

"I will be voting for Trump," Nikki Haley says. "Having said that, I stand by what I said in my suspension speech." She notes Trump hasn't reached out to the voters who supported her. (And continue to do so in surprising numbers in primaries still happening.)

P.S. Справедливости ради, я не думаю что сказала ли Хейли, что проголосует за Трампа, или нет, имеет хоть какое-то значение для исхода выборов.

Хотя да, главную мысль разобрать можно. Как интерпретировал Иглесиас, "Trump explains that the reason he broke his promise to testify in his own defense is that had he done so he would have had to speak thruthfully about a bunch of stuff."
