State of the Union

When asked through his spokeswoman to name his best friends, Mr. Trump mentioned two New Yorkers: Mr. LeFrak and Howard M. Lorber, the chief executive of Vector Group, a holding company of real estate and cigarette concerns. Mr. Trump is also said to be close to his family: his third wife, Melania, and his children Donald Jr., 38; Ivanka, 34; and Eric, 32.

In 1996, Lorber brought Trump to Moscow to look for opportunities for Trump to lend his famous name to development projects there.
“Howard has major investments in Russia,” Trump told Russian politician Alexander Ivanovich Lebed after his trip to Moscow with Lorber, according to a 1997 profile of Trump in the New Yorker. “See, they don’t know you,” Trump told Lorber. “With all that investment, they don’t know you. Trump they know.”
At that time, Trump and Lorber were discussing Trump building a huge luxury residential tower in Moscow as part of a project owned by a subsidiary of Lorber’s firm. The project never took off, but it was only one in a long line of projects Trump tried to start in Russia during his string of visits there dating back to the time of the Soviet Union.

“They think she wants to be tough with Russia. So she said well, Donald Trump likes Putin. I don't know Putin, folks. I don't know. I hope I like him, I hope he likes me because I'd love to get along with Russia. OK?
Love to. But I don't know. But she goes Donald Trump, Donald Trump -- think about it -- wants to befriend Putin and other things, she said right? And I'm saying to myself what's wrong with that? That's good.
But she's going to be the tough one, see? She's going to be the tough one. She's going to play with nuclear weapons, you know? They have all the nukes, nice nukes. She's going to be the tough one.
I'll tell you what, you put her in the office of the president -- you know, she hates Putin and Putin hates her, right? That's what I hear. No, no -- Putin probably doesn't respect her more than anything else. But Putin hates her. But she's going to be tough. We're going to be tough with Russia -- oh, we're going to be tough, right? Let me tell you, we're in a different world today, folks. We're in a different world.”

Investigators on the Senate Intelligence Committee have learned the identities of three blocked phone calls with Donald Trump Jr. just before and after the now-infamous Trump Tower meeting on June 9, 2016, three sources familiar with the calls told ABC News.
The calls to blocked numbers, which came on June 6, and after the meeting on June 9, were between Trump Jr.’s cell phone and two family friends -- NASCAR CEO Brian France and real estate developer Howard Lorber, according to the sources.

Для разговора про State of the Union это - бузина в огороде, а для расследования Мюллера - самая ягодка.

Alex Oronov is dead. He was the father-in-law to Michael Cohen’s brother.
According to Ukrainian parliamentarian Andrii Artemenko, it was his relationship with Mr. Oronov that enabled him to set up a meeting in late January with Michael Cohen at the “Loews Regency, a luxury hotel on Park Avenue in Manhattan.”
In that meeting, Mr. Artemenko was joined by former Trump Organization employee Felix Sater, a known mobster and FBI informant. They presented Mr. Cohen with some kind of dossier that included a peace plan for settling territorial disputes between Russia and Ukraine, as well as allegedly compromising information on the current president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, that they hoped would force his resignation.
Mr. Cohen took their peace plan and their compromising information and forwarded it on to then-National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.
